Coltsville Vintage Base Ball League

The Hartford Base Ball Grounds at Colt Meadows have home teams that play by the rules of the 1860s. Names are taken from historic teams that played in Hartford, Connecticut. On Saturday mornings teams play back-to-back games – the first by the rules of 1861 and the second game by the rules of 1864. Check online for the full schedule.

If you have what it takes to be Vintage and would like to join a team, recruitment is ongoing and we would love to hear from you. Neither the Friends of Vintage Base Ball nor the Coltsville Vintage Base Ball League discriminates against any person regardless of gender, age or ethnicity. All prospective players, umpires and field managers are welcomed to apply. Below you'll find literature that can be downloaded and reviewed. Teams will play by 1860s rules and customs on Saturday mornings starting at 10:00am at the Hartford Base Ball Grounds at Colt Meadows. League fee for the 2011 season will be announced by January 1, 2011.
